DESERT HOT SPRINGS FIRE CAUSED OVER $30 THOUSAND IN DAMAGE

A non-injury fire at an unoccupied residence in Desert Hot Springs caused about $30,000 in damage Monday. According to Jody Hagemann of the Riverside County Fire Department firefighters responded to the blaze on Desert View and Cactus avenues at about 12:45 a.m. She said first arriving units reported the structure well-involved. It took firefighters about 20 minutes to control the blaze. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
