I have to break my pledge not to blog anymore...just this once!!

I had to write something about someone in our community that cries out for recongnition. I read Maggie Downs column in the Desert Sun everyday. Sometimes its the only thing I read. Recently she wrote a column about going through bone marrow surgery. Today..she writes about the aftermath. If you want a lesson in unselfish giving...if you want to read about the true spirit of giving..read Maggie Downs. She does not talk about doing something, she actually follows through with it and makes the rest of us feel guilty. I am thoroughly impressed and would like to acknowledge someone who walks among us that we should emulate as much as we can. I do not have the words to express how much I admire Maggie Downs. She should be talked about...to others..to our children..as an example of giving in its highest and truest form. We are blessed that we are able to associate in any form with someone who has the integrity of Maggie Downs. Gary
